MCP Server

In this article group

You can connect your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, claude.ai, ChatGPT or any other MCP client) to Typesense Cloud, and it can create clusters, build collections, index your data and tune search, all from the conversation.

Add this MCP server URL to your agent:

https://cloud.typesense.org/mcp/v1

When you connect, a Typesense Cloud page opens in your browser, where you log in and choose the account and what the agent is allowed to do. Then click on "Connect". The agent never sees your cluster's admin API key.

On a team account, an agent can't do more than your own role allows. The account owner gets an email every time someone connects a new agent.

To see or disconnect your agents, go to your account page > "Connected apps".

Here are step-by-step instructions for each agent, along with what each permission allows.
