Boost Builder

When you want certain results to rank higher (or lower) for a search, for example in-stock products above out-of-stock ones, you can do that in a curation rule with the Boost Builder, without writing a sort_by expression by hand.
The Boost Builder needs Typesense Server v26.0 or above.
Open your Cluster Dashboard and go to your collection's "Curation" page (or to "Curation Sets").
Create a new rule or edit an existing one, and set the search it applies to.
Under Actions, check "Sort Documents".
For each row, pick "Boost" or "Bury", a field, a value and a weight. Click on "+ Add Boost or Bury" to add more rows.
Save the rule.
Every document stays in the results. Among results with the same weight, the best matches to the search come first.
You can boost on string and boolean fields that have Facet turned on in your collection's schema. If you don't see your field, turn on Facet for it.
The Boost Builder generates a sort_by value for the rule. If you prefer to write it yourself, click on "Edit as Text".
